Its president who compared poor children to sewage water has resigned. But KUSMA will consider his resignation after two months so that the issue is forgotten by then. It says people trying to eat in to the Govt’s Rs 2,400 crore earmarked for RTE are plotting against it. KUSMA announces today that it has received the resignation of its president ,
Sri G.S.Sharma. The Executive Committee of KUSMA met this afternoon and
has provisionally accepted Sri G.S.Sharma’s resignation. This resignation will be
reviewed in two month’s time.
KUSMA further states that it has indeed failed to secure appropriate response
to its planned protest between 16th july and 22nd july .KUSMA has become a
clear victim of vested interests. Rs.2400 crore rupees is available in the State for
misuse & corruption in the name of RTE ACT. It is these vested interests that are
responsible for sabotaging KUSMA’s protest.
KUSMA therefore states that it will continue its protest in a different form. It is
asking its member schools to function from tomorrow, 19th July after three days
of protest. Very shortly, KUSMA will convene a satyagraha by calling all of its
1800 members and parents in those institutions to protest the Government’s
failure to answer the 11 questions that KUSMA has publicly posed to the
Government. The date of this planned Sathyagraha will be announced shortly.
KUSMA’s protest against the minority issues under the RTE Act has become
stronger than ever after these sabotaging developments.
